FABRIC
At Wearth, fabric comes first — because how something feels on the body matters as much as how it looks.
Our collections are crafted using TENCEL™ fibres, derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp. Unlike synthetic materials, TENCEL™ is naturally breathable, soft against the skin, and designed to work with the body rather than against it. The fibre structure allows air to circulate freely, helping regulate body temperature and manage moisture during movement and rest.
In contrast, polyester — commonly used in activewear — is a plastic-based fibre. It traps heat, holds odour, and relies on chemical treatments to mimic breathability. Over time, it can feel suffocating against the skin, especially during longer workouts or in warmer climates. Polyester also sheds microplastics with every wash, contributing to long-term environmental harm.
TENCEL™ behaves differently. It absorbs moisture efficiently and releases it back into the air, keeping the skin dry without relying on coatings or finishes. Naturally smooth and gentle, it reduces friction and irritation, making it suitable for prolonged wear. Its antibacterial properties help prevent odour buildup, allowing garments to stay fresher for longer.
Beyond comfort, TENCEL™ is produced through a closed-loop manufacturing process that significantly reduces water use and recycles solvents, minimising environmental impact. It represents a more thoughtful alternative to petroleum-based fabrics — one that aligns performance with responsibility.
For us, choosing TENCEL™ is not a trend.
It’s a commitment to creating activewear that respects the body, the planet, and the experience of movement itself.
